അ‌‌ടിമക്കച്ചവടം ഇല്ലാതാക്കിയതിന്‍റെ അനുസ്മരണ ദിനത്തില്‍ @pontifex
അ‌‌ടിമക്കച്ചവടത്തിന്‍റെയും, അത് ഉന്മൂലനംചെയ്തതിന്‍റെയും യു.എന്‍. അനുസ്മരണ ദിനം ആഗസ്റ്റ് 23-Ɔ൦ തിയതി ബുധനാഴ്ച ആചരിച്ചു. ഇരകളായവര്‍ക്കായി പാപ്പാ ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ് ‘ട്വിറ്ററി’ലൂടെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന നേര്‍ന്നു:
“അടിമത്തത്തിന്‍റെ നവവും പുരാതനവുമായ രൂപങ്ങള്‍ - അടിമവേല, മനുഷ്യക്കടത്ത്, ചൂഷണം എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് ഇരകളായവരുടെ സമീപത്ത് ദൈവമുണ്ട്.”
ഇംഗ്ലിഷ്, ഫ്രഞ്ച്, അറബി ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ 9 ഭാഷകളില്‍ @pontifex എന്ന ഹാന്‍ഡിലിലാണ് പാപ്പാ ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ് ചിന്തകള്‍ അനുദിനം കണ്ണിചേര്‍ക്കുന്നത്.
