Jubilee of Mercy: The events
(Vatican Radio) The countdown continues to the Jubilee of Mercy which officially opens on the 8th of December.
The opening of the Holy Door at St Peter’s Basilica’s will be the first major event of this year taking place on the feast of the Immaculate Conception.
However, on December 7th, the Basilica will literally be under the spotlight, when it will be used as the backdrop for a light show called “Fiat Lux”.
So what other events can pilgrims expect in this extraordinary year?
In the second of a four part interview, Fr Eugene Silva, English language official at the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization talks to Lydia O’Kane about some of the key calendar dates to look forward to.
