From Rome to Jerusalem: A man's walk for Peace

(Vatican Radio) Open a newspaper or switch on the TV and more than likely there will be a story of a war or hostilities in some area of the world. But Englishman Paul Haines is literally putting his best foot forward and is walking for peace.

Paul is traveling from Rome to Jerusalem on foot to focus attention on peace and reconciliation. His journey, in aid of charity, will take him through Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, and then to Israel.

On his walk he will also be gathering messages of peace from people from all walks of life.
