Jerusalem radio promotes interreligious dialogue


(Vatican Radio) A meeting of the International Council of Christians and Jews (ICCJ) concluded here in Rome this week, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the landmark Vatican II document ‘Nostra Aetate’. Participants at the June 28th to July 1st meeting, who met with Pope Francis on Tuesday, focused on ‘The Past, Present and Future of the Christian-Jewish Relationship’, celebrating the fruits of interfaith dialogue that have been achieved over the past half century.

That encounter was preceded by a meeting of young interfaith leaders, exploring new and creative ways of facilitating dialogue between members of the three Abrahamic faiths. David Goodman was among the Jewish participants at both encounters – he helps to run an internet radio in Jerusalem (Jlm.fm) featuring a programme called 'Microphone for Peace'. He talked to Philippa Hitchen about his experiences and about his hopes for peace in his homeland…..
