'Vatican Weekend' March 14, 2015

(Vatican Radio) 'Vatican Weekend' for March 14, 2015 features an interview to mark the second anniversary of the election of Pope Francis to the See of Peter with David Gibson, a  New York based award-winning journalist, author and filmmaker who’s also national reporter for ‘Religion News Service’ in the United States. This is followed by a musical meditation to mark the Lenten season with music historian Monsignor Philip Whitmore and a glance at the forthcoming visit of Pope Francis to the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary in Pompeii with Jesuit Father Michele Garofalo. The final segment of this half hour programme centres around a conversation during which our popular 'Latin Lover' Carmelite Father Reginald Foster entertains with tragic stories relating to Pliny the elder and the eruption of Vesuvius.
