Greece seeks new agreement for existing bailout


(Vatican Radio) The president of the Eurogroup, which brings together the finance ministers of the European states that use the euro as common currency, met with the Greek prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, and his finance minister today. The meeting marked the start of the new Greek government’s efforts to try to renegotiate conditions of the country’s 240-billion-euro bailout. Though no headway seems to have been made, with the eurozone chief insisting that Greece should keep to its commitments.
