Stage and altar for Canonization Mass of B. Joseph Vaz

Fr Priyantha Silva is the art director of the dais or stage where Pope Francis will celebrate Mass on Wednesday at the Galle Face Green ocean-side park, to declare the Apostle of Sri Lanka, Bl. Joseph Vaz a Saint.    Fr. Silva was assistant to the designer of the altar which St. John  Paul II used in 1995 to declare Fr. Joseph Vaz Blessed.    Speaking to Vatican Radio’s reporter, Fr. Louis Xystus Jerome SJ, Fr. Silva gave interesting facts about the dais and the altar.  Listen:
