Egypt: case against deposed president Mubarak dismissed

(Vatican Radio) An Egyptian court has dismissed charges against former President Hosni Mubarak, in connection with the killing of 239 protesters during the 2011 uprising against him. The courtroom in Cairo was filled with cheers when the judge ordered the dismissal of the case. The 86 year-old Mubarak is already serving a three-year sentence for embezzlement.
