'Vatican Weekend' for November 15, 2014

(Vatican Radio) 'Vatican Weekend' for November 15, 2014  features our weekly report on the general audience of Pope Francis with pilgrims from across the world, interviews with the new Secretary for Relations with States, Liverpool born Archbishop Paul Gallagher, with Lithuanian Cardinal Audrys Bačkis who sheds light on Vatican Radio’s key role in keeping the faith alive during the years of the  communist regime in his nation. Another interview to mark November 11,1918 the date of the end of the First World War, is with historian Professor John Pollard who sheds light for us on Vatican diplomacy during the pontificate of Benedict XV. On a more reflective note this will be followed by some thoughts by Monsignor Peter Fleetwood who asks why we should bother believing in a God that lets the big 'C' happen and provides an answer to that question. Finally our popular ‘Latin Lover', Carmelite Father Reginald Foster takes us on a  virtual tour of  Rome’s Colosseum as it gets an incredible face lift.
