Pope Francis’ visit to Turkey in November: Official Programme released


(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis will make an apostolic visit to Turkey from November 28th to the 30th during which he will travel to the cities of Ankara and Istanbul.  The Director of the Holy See’s Press Office, Father Federico Lombardi, issued a statement on Tuesday confirming the visit and giving details of the Pope’s programme.  Father Lombardi said  the Pope’s visit to Turkey follows invitations extended to him by the Turkish President, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomew I and the president of the Turkish Catholic Bishops Conference.
