(Vatican Radio) As discussions ar underway here in the Vatican on issues surrounding a pastoral approach to family life we bring you a reflection by Monsignor Peter Fleetwood for his series 'Why Bother? Staying Catholic despite it all" by the title of ' Why bother asking ? The priest will never baptise my baby.'
Listen to this reflection by Monsignor Peter Fleetwood in a programme produced by Veronica Scarisbrick:
The real dramas in Catholic life says Monsignor Peter Fleetwood are about sacraments. The people who have really negative feelings about the Church, or about a particular priest, are often people who have been refused permission to have a child baptised or to be married in a church. In fact, priests very rarely refuse, but people often think they have been refused, and feel very angry forever. That is what counts.
