Bomb explodes in Market in Northern Nigeria

Reports from Nigeria say two explosions  exploded in a busy market on Saturday evening in the town of Maiduguri in northeast Nigeria. Many people are reported to have been killed. Eyewitnesses told reporters that the attack was carried out using a car bomb. After the explosion of the first bomb, the second bomb went off minutes after people arrived to help the victims. Maiduguri is the headquarters of a military force fighting against the Boko Haram Islamic militants who are fighting to impose Sharia law on Nigeria. The militants have launched several bloody attacks in the past few weeks, killing more than 300 people in the month of February alone.
