Easter message of Archbishop of Singapore urges Catholics to spread the “good news”.

April 16,2014 Archbishop William Goh Seng Chye of Singapore in his message for Easter, called the faithful to a “new life” in Christ. The prelate said "In our celebration of Easter, we are reminded once again that through the Paschal mystery – Christ’s death and resurrection, has given us a certain hope of new life. Despair is overcome by Easter hope. The message of Archbishop Goh focussed on three specific elements of reflection: new life in Christ ; our personal encounter with the risen Lord and going forth with joy in the proclamation of the Gospel. Archbishop Goh urged Catholics to become "missionaries" of the Good News "with joy, kindness, patience and love." In order to live the faith fully, he said, it is important to join groups for prayer and mutual support, because left alone, your faith will not stand in times of temptation, trial and suffering.
