(Vatican Radio) At least 71 people were killed on Monday and more than 120 were injured,
when a bomb exploded at a bus station in the Nigerian capital of Abuja, during the
busy morning rush hour.
President Goodluck Jonathan pointed the finger of
suspicion at the Islamist group Boko Haram, although there was no immediate claim
of responsibility.
Evangelical pastor Yunusa Nmadu, director of Christian
Solidarity Worldwide, told Vatican Radio that this first attack on the federal capital
in the past two years has left the people in a state of shock.
