(Vatican Radio) Search crews in the ongoing search for the Malaysia Airlines jet,
which went missing last month in the Indian Ocean with 239 people on board, launched
a new phase in the search operation on Monday, which includes the use of a United
States Navy underwater drone.
Searchers have made recourse to the drone, called
Bluefin-21, as they believe batteries in the plane’s black box recorders have probably
died and there is little chance of finding floating debris.
At a press conference,
search chief Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston explained how the Bluefin-21 drone technology
will be used to help find some of the answers for flight MH370.
