Mercedes Sosa

A giant of Latin American contemporary music, Mercedes Sosa also became known as the “voice of the voiceless ones” in a career which spanned four decades. In 1995, the Argentine Konex Foundation granted Sosa their most prestigious award, the Diamond Konex Award, as the most important personality in the Popular Music of her country in the last decade.
