Vatican City, 22 March 2014: In a post on the social media on Saturday, Pope Francis
tweeted on Christian hope in Jesus, saying that nothing is able to separate us from
his saving love. The Pontiff wrote on his Twitter account @pontifex: “Jesus is
our hope. Nothing – not even evil or death – is able to separate us from the saving
power of his love.” Pope Francis has often spoken about God’s love and Christian
love. He wrote on his twitter account on 18 March: “Christian love is loving without
counting the cost. This is the lesson of the Good Samaritan; this is the lesson of
Jesus.” The Pope has now close to 11 million followers on his Twitter account
@Pontifex. And the re-tweeting of Pope’s message is reported to be reaching at least
60 million people. The Pope’s English-language handle alone has over 3 million followers.
The papal tweets are published in nine languages on the micro-blogging website. Source:
