Pope tweets on the challenge for Christian Spouses
Vatican City, 08 March 2014: In a post on the social media on Saturday, Pope Francis
tweeted on the challenge for Christian spouses saying that remaining together and
loving one another are the topmost among them. The Pontiff wrote on his Twitter account
@pontifex: “The challenge for Christian spouses: remaining together, knowing how
to love one another always, and doing so in a way that their love grows.”
Pope
Francis has given much importance to the pastoral care of families. Even the extraordinary
Consistory of all the Cardinals held in February, while greeting the Cardinals, Pope
Francis spoke about the Family, calling it an image of the Triune God in the world.
He also invited the Cardinals to reflect on the "beauty of the family and marriage’.
The
Pope has now close to 11 million followers on his Twitter account @Pontifex. And the
re-tweeting of Pope’s message is reported to be reaching at least 60 million people.
The Pope’s English-language handle alone has over 3 million followers. The papal tweets
are published in nine languages on the micro-blogging website. Source: VR Sedoc
