Dave Brubeck
Dave Brubeck damaged several neck vertebrae and his spinal cord while diving into
the surf in Hawaii in 1951. After a long convalescence, Brubeck regained his health
but suffered residual nerve pain in his hands for years. The injury also influenced
his playing style. Today (February 8th) we have “The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Plays Music From West Side Story And…” from which to take our selection. Please tune
in at 2:30 pm!
