Telephone conversation between President Napolitano and Pope Francis

Jan 2, 2014: The President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, Wednesday afternoon (January 1) has had a telephone conversation with Pope Francis during which they 'had a direct exchange of greetings and solidarity and this added to the expressions of good wishes for the new year which were addressed by President Napolitano on the Night of New Years Eve and by Pope Francis at the Angelus Greeting at noon on the New Year’s day.
