Pope urges believers to put trust in God’s love

November 22, 2013 - In a tweet on Friday, Pope Francis reminded his followers on the social media that true happiness lies in trusting God and not possessions. “The Kingdom of Heaven is for those who place their trust in the love of God, not in material possessions,” the Pope wrote on his Twitter handle @Pontifex. Pope Francis himself has shown the way by shunning the Apostolic Palace, preferring to live with other clerics at the Casa Santa Marta residence in the Vatican. He also prefers to be driven in a modest Ford rather than in a Mercedes. Recently he gave away a Harley Davidson bike he received as gift to a charity in Rome to expand its capacity to accommodate migrants.
