Faithful Witness of this week is Fr. Santhosh Sebastian from the diocese of Gorakhpur
in North India. He had served as Chancellor cum Secretary to Bishop, Parish priest
of St. Joseph Cathedral, Principal of St Joseph School, and Director of Commission
for Dialogue and Ecumenism. Presently he is appointed as Professor of Dogmatics in
St. Joseph Regional Seminary, Allahabad. Fr. Santhosh hails from a traditional Catholic
family in the Southern Indian state of Kerala. In the first part of this interview

us briefly about you. Who inspired you to become a priest? What kind of spiritual
practices you had at home? You are born and brought up in a traditional Christian
community, but surrounded by people of other faith. How that affected you? In a
way you inherited a spirituality from your home. Later your joined the seminary. Did
you find the same spirituality there?
