SIGNIS World Congress 2014 in Rome

Brussels, 01 October 2013: The SIGNIS World Congress 2014 will take place from 25 February to 1 March 2014 in Rome, Italy on the theme "Media for a Culture of Peace: Creating Images with the New Generation". SIGNIS is the world association of Catholic communications.

The World Congress was due to take place in Beirut, Lebanon in October 2013. However, it had to be cancelled because of the deteriorating situation in the region.

The Congress theme underlines the commitment of SIGNIS to work with and encourage the new generation to create positive and powerful images that will express their hopes for a global culture of peace. The Congress will explore this theme through activities ranging from interactive dialogue, discussions, workshops, a strong youth element and the active participation of creative media professionals.

SIGNIS will also hold its Assembly of Delegates in Rome in the framework of the Congress.
Participants already registered to the cancelled Beirut Congress do not need to register again. They will be contacted to confirm their registration.
