11 Sept.2013: Pope Francis will pay a day’s visit, Sunday 22nd September
to Cagliari, the capital of the of the Island of Sardinia in Italy, the Vatican
announced on Wednesday. The Pope will meet youth, workers and the detained. On
his arrival at the airport of Cagliari Sunday morning, the Pope will first meet the
workers. Soon after, the Pope will be greeted by the authorities in the square near
the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Bonaria. The highlight of the Papal visit will be the
celebration of Mass in the Square near the sanctuary, followed by the midday Angelus
prayer. Pope Francis will lunch with Sardinia’s bishops in the Pontifical Seminary
of the region. Later he will meet the poor and the detained in the Cathedral of Cagliari,
following it by meeting the world of Culture. The Pope’s final meeting will be with
