Pope to receive Jordan’s King Abdullah

28 Aug. 2013: Pope Francis will receive in audience on Thursday, August 29, King Abdullah II of Jordan. The meeting in the Vatican is the first between the Jordanian King and the Pope Francis. King Abdullah met Pope Benedict XVI in May 2009 in Amman, during the former pontiff’s apostolic journey to the Holy Land, the first stop of which was Jordan.
