(Vatican Radio) The solemnity on August 15th commemorates the assumption
of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven and is the oldest Marian feast in the Church.
Father Robert Ombres is the former Procurator General of the Dominican Order and he
shares with us this reflection on the wonder and importance of Mary’s Assumption.
And, to find out more details about the history of this feast and explore what light
the event sheds on the figure of our Lady, Susy Hodges spoke to Father Clyde Rausch,
a priest from the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate Order.
