Pope tweets urging Christians to go out and be witnesses
August 02, 2013 - Echoing the message to young people from around the globe at the
World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro, last week, Pope Francis on Friday posted a message
on Twitter saying faith sends us out to bear witness and engage in dialogue with others.
“The security of faith does not make us motionless or close us off, but sends us forth
to bear witness and to dialogue with all people,” the Pope tweeted. The Pope had
been to Rio to join the Catholic Church’s 28th World Youth Day, July 22-28,
whose theme was, "Go and make disciples of all nations!"
