衡量一个社会是否伟大，得看它是否善待最有需要者和除贫穷外别无他物的人。

La misura della grandezza di una società è data dal modo in cui essa tratta chi è più bisognoso, chi non ha altro che la sua povertà.

Societatis granditas ea ponderatur mensura qua indigentiores tractantur, qui quidem nihil aliud quam suam paupertatem habent.

The measure of the greatness of a society is found in the way it treats those most in need, those who have nothing apart from their poverty.
