Concern for Syrian refugees grows


(Vatican Radio) Suspected rebel gunmen assassinated a well-known supporter of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Lebanon today, the latest sign that Syria's civil war is spreading to its smaller neighbour.

It was the first assassination of a pro-Assad figure in
Lebanon since Syria's conflict started more than two years ago.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has appealed for more humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees addressed the UN Security Council about the tragedy of Syrian Refugees:
