(Vatican Radio) In view of the Pope’s reduced public activities over the summer months,
the Vatican has announced that there will be no General Audiences on the following
Wednesdays in August: 7, 14, 21 and 28. The weekly General Audiences with Pope Francis
will resume on Wednesday September 4. On Sundays during the month of August, Pope
Francis will preside the Angelus prayer in the Vatican. On the Feast of the Assumption
August 15th, the Holy Father will celebrate Holy Mass in the Parish of
Castel Gandolfo and later recite the Angelus prayer with the faithful at the papal
summer residence in the Roman hill town.
