(Vatican Radio) In a musical meditation focusing on the 'Sacred Heart ' Monsignor Philip Whitmore explains how what began with a visionary in a convent cell in France gradually spread throughout the world becoming a remarkably popular devotion.

A devotion so popular that many hymns have since been written in honour of the 'Sacred Heart', that fount of love and mercy.
