01 April, 2013 - New Pope Francis has been winning hearts not only with his simple
and humble ways reaching out to the suffering and the forgotten of society, but also
with what he has been saying, inviting all to experience God’s mercy and live the
basics of their faith. Not the least, his tweets on the micro-blogging social media
Twitter, are also proving a hit with some 2.2 million followers. On Easter Sunday
he tweeted: “Accept the risen Jesus into your life. Even if you have been far away,
take a small step towards him: he awaits you with open arms.” On the occasion of
Holy Thursday, that commemorates Christ instituting the priesthood and the Eucharist
at the Last Supper before his death, Pope Francis wrote: “Support your priests with
your love and prayers, that they may always be shepherds after Christ’s heart.” Ahead
of the Easter Triduum, or the three days leading up to Easter Sunday, the Pope tweeted
twice. He wrote: “To experience Holy Week is to enter more and more into God's logic
of love and self-giving.” And again: “Being with Jesus demands that we go out from
ourselves, and from living a tired and habitual faith.” You can follow the Pope in
