Pope greets Vatican employees at Mass and asks for prayers
(March 27, 2013) “Good morning to you all” was the simple greeting with which
Pope Francis greeted Vatican employees and their families at the conclusion
of a special mass celebrated for them early Wednesday morning in St. Peter’s Basilica
by Cardinal Angelo Comastri, Archpriest of St. Peter’s Basilica. Thanking all those
present , Pope Francis expressed gratitude for their work in the Vatican, which
he said is sometimes hidden but which goes ahead just the same. He also expressed
thanks to all those who could not attend Mass due to work, and humbly asked them
all to pray for him. “I have need of your prayers as I am also a sinner, like everyone
else; and I want to be faithful to the Lord, and need your prayers “he said. Wishing
them a Holy and a happy Easter, Pope Francis prayed for the blessings of the
Lord on them and the protection of the Madonna, and imparted on all his apostolic
blessing . After the apostolic blessing of Pope Francis , Cardinal Comastri
expressed his gratitude and thanks and also that of all those present for his kind
visit. Source: VR Sedoc
