Massive assistance to disabled people for the first Angelus of Pope
March 16, 2013: For the first Angelus of Pope Francis on Sunday Unione Nazionale Italiana
Trasporto Ammalati a Lourdes e Santuari Internazionali - l'UNITALSI Rome - has prepared
a special plan of accommodation and assistance for the disabled, elderly and sick
people who want to participate in it, a press release from the Charity organization
informed on Saturday. There will be over 300 volunteers to take care of the disabled
people arriving from Italy and from many countries around the world. Three locations
are chosen for their presence - Piazza Risorgimento, the Holy Office and near Castel
Sant'Angelo.
"We are inundated with requests to be in place for Sunday - explained
Alessandro Pinna, chairman of the sub-Roman UNITALSI. This can be considered as a
dress rehearsal for the Tuesday enthronement of Pope Francis", the communique added.
