Welcome to our special program on the Year of Faith, THE FAITHFUL WITNESS, a series
on the lives of Inspiring People and Witnesses of faith in the Catholic Church from
around the world. These are people who lived their ordinary lives in extraordinary
ways. They are examples of great fortitude and virtue. Their unique stories inspire
us to be rooted in our faith. God calls each one of us today to inspire our brothers
and sisters and to be witnesses of our faith.Last two weeks we listened to Dr. Alexandra
Campbell, her dramatic conversion experience, her conflict in her personal and professional
life. Born and brought up in a Catholic family in New York, she is a practicing psychologist
in a hospital in California, USA. Torn apart by her parents’ divorce, and having lived
under various religious traditions and faith expressions, she found finally solace
in Jesus Christ and returned to her Catholic roots. xxx Our Faithful
Witness of today, Dr. Alexandra Campbell shares with us her way of practicing and
fostering Christian faith. Alexandra, welcome back to Vatican Radio. listen:
Yours have
been an eventful life, explain a bit more about your work, your ministry. Does
your hospital appreciate that? Now that the Pope has announced the year of faith,
I am happy to know that your faith has made good sense to you. Today you can say that
I know what I believe in! That is truly amazing! You lived under various religious
traditions and faith expressions, there may be many living like you were once, to
them what do you want to say? You are, in a sense rediscovered Catholic faith,
what do you do daily to foster that faith? What is your message to our audience
who face crises in their life and in their faith?
That was Alexandra Campbell
sharing with us her faith experiences. xxx You have been listening
to THE FAITHFUL WITNESS our weekly series based on the lives of Inspiring People
and Witnesses of faith in the Catholic Church from around the world. Our Faithful
Witness of today has been Dr. Alexandra Campbell from California. If you have a faith
experience to share with us, let us know. Visit our website radiovaticana.va. By
