Card. Ravasi to preach the Lenten Retreat in the Vatican

January 19, 2013: The Lenten retreat for the Pope and the members of the Roman Curia will be held from Sunday, 17 to Saturday, 23 February 2013, revealed a Vatican communique on Friday. The theme of the retreat will be "The face of God and the face of man in psalms. Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, president of the Pontifical Council for Culture, will preach the week long retreat.
He will specially give his reflection on the verbs of the prayer: "Breathe, think, fight, love" as they appear in the biblical Psalter. His reflection on Human words and divine inspiration of the Psalms will have a twofold directions: namely, upward, toward the mystery, and descent, the discovery of the divine light that illuminates the man's face. The retreat will be held in the Redemptoris Mater Chapel of the Apostolic Palace.
