Pope names Coadjutor Archbishop of Armagh


(Vatican Radio) Pope Benedict has nominated Monsignor Eamon Martin, current administrator of the Diocese of Derry as Coadjutor Archbishop of Armagh.
Eamon Martin was born in 1961 in Pennyburn, Derry. He was ordained a priest on June 28, 1987after priestly formation at St Patrick’s College Maynooth.
Monsignor Martin was Executive Secretary of the Irish Episcopal Conference between 2008 - 2010, he is also a member of the Council for Governance of the Episcopal Conference; member of the Northern Ireland Commission for Catholic Education
