Venezuelan President's brother insists Chavez on the mend
The older brother of Venezuela’s ailing president Hugo Chavez is stressing some medical
facts about him while lashing out at various areas of the media. James Blears reports.
Adan Chavez who's the Governor of Barinas State, flatly denies his Brother
Hugo the President is in a coma, and insists his condition is improving daily. Nothing
has been heard from Hugo, since his fourth cancer operation on December 11th, and
it's not known how he's currently coping with a severe post operative lung infection,
which is probably pneumonia.
Adan is accusing certain sectors of the foreign
media of teaming up with Venezuela's opposition coalition in a dirty war against his
younger brother.
Nicolas Maduro, who's Venezuela's Vice President and Hugo
Chavez's hand picked successor, has again been in Cuba to visit him. Venezuela's Supreme
Court has ruled that Hugo Chavez can take the oath of office at a later date. He was
re-elected last October to serve another six year term.
