Papal Appointments

January 05, 2013: Pope Benedict XVI has appointed on Saturday Dr. Antonio Chiminello, as Director of Accounting of the State of Vatican City. His appointment is for five years. Dr Chiminiello has been working as the Deputy Director of the same State Accounting Office.

The Holy Father has also appointed on Saturday Archbishop Jean-Paul Gobel, Titular Archbishop of Galatia in Campania and apostolic nuncio in Iran, as Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt and Delegate to the Organization of the League of Arab States.
