(Vatican Radio) In Nigera, 15 Christians were shot inside a church yesterday, the
latest in a series of attacks in the northeastern part of the country. The church
was in Chibok, in Borno state. The Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram is suspected
in the attack.
“It has really been terrible,” said Archbishop Ignatius Ayau
Kaigama, the Archbishop of Jos. We cannot be overcome by fear and the violence of
these evil people.
He told Vatican Radio the Christians of Nigeria will
persevere.
“Their aim is to succeed to destroy the Christian faith, and we
are convinced this is not possible, because our faith is a gift from God,” he said.
