(Vatican Radio) Venezuela's Vice President says he's confident ailing leader Hugo
Chavez will return to Venezuela in time to be inaugurated President on January 10th.
Congressional Leader Diosdado Cabello, who's a close ally of Hugo Chavez says that
the Inauguration which is scheduled for January 10th, can be put back if he needs
more time to recover from his fourth cancer surgery in 18 months. The Constitution
states that if a leader isn't inaugurated, then another Election must be held within
30 days. But Cabello insists that Chavez was democratically elected on October 7th
and will step up for another six year term. Even closer ally, Vice President Nicolas
Maduro who Chavez has named as his successor, has done a nationwide broadcast advising
that the medical team in Cuba has ordered complete rest for Chavez. He says he's confident
Chavez WILL be back in time for January 10th, but if this isn't the case, he's left
detailed instructions of what to do next. Chavez suffered prolonged bleeding during
this latest surgery and is now being treated for a respiratory illness. Only his innermost
circle know what sort of cancer he's being treated for. Listen to this report from
