Christmas ceremonies live from the Vatican


(Vatican Radio) The Vatican Television Center and Vatican Radio will be streaming all of the Christmas ceremonies and events live from St Peter’s Square and Basilica over the next 24 hours and offering audio commentary in six languages.

To join the Holy Father as he leads the Universal Church in celebrations this Christmas, all you have to do is click on the Vatican Player live TV icon on the right hand side of the Vatican Radio Homepage and choose your preference for audio commentary (or none).

Live streaming begins at 16:15 Rome time on Christmas Eve with the unveiling of the giant Nativity Scene in St Peter’s Square and lighting of the Christmas candle by the Holy Father. This ceremony will not have commentary.

Join us later at 22:00, for the Christmas Eve Vigil Mass and again at 12:00 noon Rome time Christmas Day for the Holy Father’s Urbi et Orbi Christmas Blessing to the City and the World, live from Rome in the comfort of your own home!
