Venezuela's Chavez completes surgery


(Vatican Radio) Venezuela's Vice President Nicolas Maduro, announced that President Hugo Chavez has undergone an operation lasting more than six hours. This is Chavez’s fourth cancer surgery since June 2011. Maduro praised Chavez's physical strength and optimistic attitude, insisting that this latest medical intervention has been a success. The fifty-eight year-old Chavez wants to be fit and well enough to be inaugurated for a fourth successive six year term on January 10th. He won re-election on October 7th, insisting he was cured. The still undisclosed form of cancer has returned yet again. Chavez insists he'll come back and soldier on.
