Ratzinger Prize: conversation with philosopher Rémi Brague...
(Vatican Radio) French philospher Professor Rémi Brague, was awarded the 2012
Ratzinger Prize by Pope Benedict XVI who praised him as: :"... a great scholar
of philosophy of religions, in a special way that of the Jewish and Islamic in the
course of the Middle Ages."...
Earlier the Pope had spoken of Professor Brague
and another winner of this prize Jesuit Father Brian Edward Daley of Notre Dame
University as :... "exemplary for the transmission of knowledge that unites science
and wisdom, scientific rigor and passion for man"...
Veronica Scarisbrick sat
down with Professor Brague in our studios here prior to his receiving his prize and
began by asking him why he thought he'd received this prize for theology.
