(Vatican Radio) Another mortar shell from Syria struck Turkish territory on Saturday,
prompting a fourth straight day of retaliatory artillery fire. The latest shelling
comes a day after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on Syria not
to test Turkey's ``limits and determination''.
No one was hurt by the mortar,
but state media said Turkish artillery immediately responded with ``counter-fire,''.

As
the fighting in Syria goes on refugees continue to flee in to neighbouring countries
including Turkey.
The Executive Director of the World Food Programme, Ertharin
Cousin says they are providing food to over a million people in the region.
“We’re
very much involved in what is happen in Syria and as the situation continues to evolve
our work also continues to evolve. We have for the first time dispatched food just
this week to 1.5 million people inside Syria the majority of whom are internally displaced
persons.”
She also says WFP is aiding refugees in the neighbouring countries
of Turkey, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon. Listen
