Pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi says she favours the easing of the remaining
US sanctions still in place against Burma. She was speaking on the first full day
of her 2-week tour of the United States. She held extensive talks in Washington with
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton - it's her first visit to the US capital since
she was freed from detention and won election to Parliament. And she urged the
United States to continue supporting the country Washington still calls Burma in its
political transition. Secretary of State Clinton says there's more work to be accomplished
in the country the US still calls Burma in order to cement the move towards democracy.
