Burma Chin community highlights religious freedom violations

(Vatican Radio) A delegation of ethnic Chin Christians are in London this week, to highlight violations of religious freedom in Burma also known as Myanmar. While in the British capital the group are presenting a new report, entitled, “Threats to Our Existence: Persecution of Ethnic Chin Christians in Burma”. Christian Solidarity Worldwide is hosting the Chin Human Rights Organisation (CHRO) and Lydia O’Kane spoke to CSW’s East Asia Team Leader Ben Rogers.
He says that although the government of Burma has put in place steps towards positive reform it needs to make sure that human rights such as the right to religion or belief are promoted and protected. Listen
