Pope greets International Ecumenical Conference

September 06, 2012: In a telegram, signed by the card. Bertone, Secretary of State, Pope Benedict XVI has sent a message for the International Ecumenical Conference on Orthodox spirituality in being held at the Monastery of Bose in Northern Italy.

Addressing the Prior Brother Enzo Bianchi, the letter says “On the occasion of International Ecumenical Orthodox spirituality promoted by the community of Bose together with the Orthodox churches on the theme "Man custodian of creation", the Pope addresses the organizers and participants with his best wishes and hope that the days of assessment and fraternal encounter foster mutual knowledge and faith sharing, inspiring and renewing a common commitment to protect God's gift of creation, and sends the requested apostolic Blessing.”
