The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has declared July 11th to be World Population
Day. This year’s theme is “Universal Access to Reproductive Health Services”, an
effort to spread the use of contraception, abortion, and morally questionable birth-reducing
practices around the world.
What they refer to as reproductive health essential
is the agenda of contraception, sterilization, abortion – all these things which really
don’t have anything to do with happy motherhood, but rather getting rid of children,”
said Joseph Meaney, the Director of International Coordination for Human Life International.
He
told Vatican Radio, too often the term “reproductive health” ignores real medical
problems surrounding the reproductive health system.
“We are always hearing
the problems of too many people, rather than helping people with the problems of infertility.
Infertility would be a reproductive health problem, but one doesn’t hear about that.
One hears about unsafe abortion, or one hears of lack of access to birth control.”
