3 Presidents for the XIII General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops

June 30, 2012: Pope Benedict XVI on Saturday appointed three Delegate Presidents to the XIII General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, scheduled to be held at the Vatican from October 7 to 28, 2012, on the theme "The new evangelization for the transmission of the Christian faith,".

The Presidents are Cardinal John TONG HON, Bishop of Hong Kong; Cardinal Francisco Robles Ortega, Archbishop of Guadalajara, Mexico; Cardinal PASINYA Laurent Monsengwo, Archbishop of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
